Annual Employment Law update facilitated by Jen Moeckel and Andrea Chatfield from Cook, Little, Rosenblatt & Manson pllc:

2021 kept HR’s focus primarily on widespread changes due to the pandemic and the roll out of COVID-19 vaccines and mandates, and what it all means for the workplace.  However, the focus on COVID-19 did not slow the pace of legal developments in other areas – and certainly did not leave much time for looking forward to 2022. Let us help you catch up and plan ahead with this fast-paced look back at 2021 developments and ahead to 2022 impacts and initiatives.  Topics covered in this informative session will include:

    • COVID-related laws and guidance, status of the vaccine mandates, and how to navigate conflicting rules
    • Addressing employee disability and religious accommodation requests, both because of and despite the pandemic
    • DOL update: liquidated damages and big settlements on wage cases and what they mean for employers, fluctuating workweek pay, telework, independent contractors, joint employers, commissions/bonuses, and caselaw update
    • NLRA update and its impact on all private sector employers and their policies
    • Diversity and inclusion initiatives:  dealing with microaggressions and promoting racial justice
    • Paid family/medical leave laws and initiatives – getting ready for NH paid family leave benefit option
    • Proposed federal and state legislation to watch
