What Every Employer Should Know About Pay Equity

Program Details: The EEOC listed pay equity as a strategic focus area in its most recent long range plan.  Since 2016 numerous states have enacted new pay equity laws or revised existing ones.  There has also been a wave of legislation restricting inquiries about an applicant’s wage.

    Why should NH employers care?

There are longstanding NH state and federal equal pay laws and efforts to amend both are ongoing.

NH employers with multi-state workforces need to be aware of current law in other jurisdictions. Our neighboring state of MA has one of the most aggressive pay equity laws in the country.

Getting it right and doing it right will enhance recruitment and retention efforts in this tight labor market.

This interactive presentation will highlight the current trends in pay equity laws and state and federal enforcement.  It will also provide attendees with best practices for evaluation of a company’s own pay policies with a focus on equity, transparency and self-audits.
