    SHRM: Together Forward @Work

    In August 2020, SHRM launched an initiative called "Together Forward @Work", a call to action to bring racial equity to the workplace. SHRM believes HR can drive social change in the workplace, and that everyone - HR professionals, executives, people managers and emerging professionals - has a part to play. Their Blue Ribbon Commission on Racial Equity will:

    • Assess the effectiveness of current programs and models including barriers to success.
    • Identify and scale programs that have been shown to successfully address pipeline, recruitment, and retention in diverse workplaces.
    • Outline a step-by-step roadmap to create inclusive, diverse and safe workplaces that apply accountability measures at all levels of the organization.
    • Produce and curate content and tools that will foster continued professional development in increasing equity in the workplace; share these resources with SHRM chapters and members.
    • Drive a longer-range agenda on organizational diversity and bias in the workplace.
