Annual Employment Law Update: Dangerous Curves Ahead

While COVID-19 issues may have seemed to be in the rear-view mirror in 2022, the view through the windshield was full of twists and turns as the pace of legal developments sped up.  The coming year is also shaping up to be a windy road.  Join us for a fast-paced look back at 2022 developments and ahead to 2023 impacts and initiatives.  Topics will include:

    • The latest on the Granite State Paid Family and Medical Leave Insurance Program – a first-of-its-kind program.
    • DOL update: increased wage and overtime investigations and what they mean for employers, the new rules on who can be an independent contractor, and new developments on overtime rules.
    • NLRA update and its impact on all private sector employers and their policies
    • Interesting ADA, Age Discrimination and Wrongful Discharge cases
    • The impact of COVID on the FMLA
    • The challenge of managing remote workers and bringing workers back to the workplace while navigating the ADA and other legal concerns
